Belitung Island.

Happy Friday amigos~
How's your weekend gonna be like? I know mine is definitely looking good.
Current location: Belitung.

The number of minutes I am typing out this post, is probably the number of islands I have visited this afternoon around Belitung. I lost count of how many islands I have been to in the last 6 hours, but I can tell you for sure - Each and every one of them has their own characteristic to charm their way through the eyes of your camera. I can't even choose which of them all is my favourite.

Sarong Wraps.

Remember how your parents used to say,
"You're still young. There's so much time for you to grow. You have yet to see the world".
Well I say, nobody has seen the world if they have never been to Bali.
One can never get enough of Bali - and cookies. I have to bite one now. OM!

Sincerely,
Judi

Post Bali Syndrome

Finally, being able to sit in front of my mac with my PJ's on, a hungry stomach and tired eyes as a result of insufficient sleep that I have been having for the past few weeks.

Oh Bali, where should I begin. Probably I should start from booking the tickets just 4 hours before the next available flight out. The craziness of this impromptu decision was so worthwhile. I had only packed a light suitcase with 2 sets of clothing and no swimwear! I know... Wait, Whaaat!? Yea... apparently I left them all in Singapore with the thought that I wouldn't be back in Bali that soon. What was I thinking! It was for the better anyway. I hate having to unpack damp swimsuits that was still sandy from the beach.
My time is Bali was so short-time but pretty epic. The warmth and fresh air that was supplied was so necessary. Currently back in busy bustling Jakarta.
So ready to leave the city again. Bring it on, travels... I'm waiting for you.

Sincerely,
Judi

It's my fairytale.

Enough of heartbreaks child. I write my own fairy tales from now on - beginning with this antique book clutch. :)

Concrete jungle where dreams are made of.

If you are not wearing green on St Patrick's Day, you will get pinched by someone who is.

These shots were taken in the middle of the city, Kota. Initially, we were suppose to visit the textile and ceramics museum. But they were closed by mid day and to be honest, I was a little bummed about that. I have been in the city for close to 8 months now and I haven't had an opportunity to explore Jakarta like a tourist. As much as everybody doesn't want to do the mainstream, I guess a Singaporean side of me yearns to be a safe explorer and trot the world using TripAdvisor's tips.

Incidentally, we stumbled across this dilapidated old dutch colonial house. It was run down to it's ruins in the most beautiful way imagine. The architecture of the stairways leading up to the verandah, detailed columns, colourful blown glass window panes, mosaic tiles brightening up the greyish atmosphere. The whole experience could be gala ball, all that was missing was a massive spring clean, a great big crystal chandelier and elite people putting on their Sunday's best.
Now wouldn't that be nice?

Bringing back denim on denim

Sleeveless Denim shirt: Vintage Levis | Denim Jeans: Vintage Levis 501 | Wide Brim Fedora: Cotton On | Felt Boots: ASOS | Tartan Bow: ASOS

In a blink of an eye, the calendar flipped its pages to March now. I don't really know where I stand about the time that is passing us by too quickly. Whether or not I am happy and satisfied with where I am at current days. I hate being here, but at the same time I am excited for a lot of things come April. Already, it looks like I will be traveling to a couple cities for work and leisure within this month. Judi is so ready to explore!!
Bandung last weekend was pretty amazing and disappointing at the same time. Amazing for the weather and disappointments from the shopping. But I guess it is probably because I went without an open mind. But the weather was capitals A-C-E. It was really nice just getting out of this pit hole, Jakarta.

Talking about brilliant, I found these pretty dope sleeveless denim shirt from Levis dated back to 1970s. It was pretty musky when I first had them, but a few rounds of bleaching and hand washing did its trick. And as always, the denim trend stayed by me season after season. James dean would be so proud of me.

Sincerely,
Judi
